Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) has participated in CCS+ Initiative (hereafter "CCS+"), which is an international platform aiming to scale-up CCS (Carbon dioxide Capture and Storage) projects.

JAPEX position our efforts for CCS/CCUS as one of the priority items for the medium- to long-term on "JAPEX 2050" as our carbon neutral direction and objective developed in May 2021 and "JAPEX Management Plan 2022. Under the recognition that CCS/CCUS (Carbon dioxide Capture, Utilization and Storage) is an essential technology to achieve net-zero, we have been working toward the practical application of CO₂injection and storage technology and the launch of the 지니 카지노/CCUS project, based on the expertise acquired by oil and natural gas development and production (E&P: exploration and production).
